
Deacon Wayne McNeill, a 2001 graduate of Harty Bible School, has dedicated his life to serving God, family, and the community. Deacon McNeill retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to provide care for his wife during her recovery from an injury. This acknowledges his compassionate decision without dwelling on the details of the injury.
His faithful service as a deacon for over twenty years is commendable. His dedication to his church and his commitment to serving others have undoubtedly positively impacted the lives of those he ministered to. He ministers to the men is group at Rodman Street Baptist Church, where he continues to inspire and guide men in their spiritual journeys.
His life is a testament to his faith, resilience, and dedication to helping others. His contributions to his professional and spiritual communities have made him a respected and beloved brother in the Lord.

Dr. Kenneth Barbour, a 1971 graduate of Harty Bible School, has dedicated over 35 years to teaching and serving as President. In addition to his remarkable service at HBS, he has held roles as a teacher, principal, and school superintendent. After retiring from the Pittsburgh public school system, he answered a call from God to offer his extensive expertise, wisdom, spiritual leadership, and heart of service to the children and parents of Hillcrest Christian Academy. Under his guidance, HCA has seen substantial improvement in curriculum staff development and the physical building. Dr. Barbour has built a culture of harmony and respect at the school, earning a special place in the hearts of all who walk through its doors. His extensive experience and commitment to education have greatly benefited the school and broader community.

Deaconess Roselle White, a 1989 graduate of Harty Bible School, has dedicated her life to teaching and serving her community. As a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, she serves as a Deaconess and Sunday School teacher. Roselle’s commitment to faith and education is evident in her remarkable 40 years of service as the Superintendent of Sunday School, where she is currently training someone to take over her responsibilities. Her career spans over 35 years, during which she has taught in various locations, including Aliquippa, South Bronx, NY, Sewickley Care and Development, and Cornell School in Coraopolis. Roselle’s dedication also extends to early childhood education, where she has made a significant contribution as Head Start teacher. Roselle’s unwavering faith, leadership, and commitment to public and Christian education have significantly impacted countless lives. Her legacy of dedication continues to inspire those around her.

Russell Bynum, a 1990 Harty Bible School graduate, is the Deputy Executive Director at FLLM Haiti, a Pittsburgh-based organization dedicated to humanitarian aid and relief efforts in Haiti. The Deputy Executive Director is significant in the organization’s leadership and management. Russell is the president of Bynum’s Marketing and Communications, a full-service marketing and communications firm in downtown Pittsburgh, which he runs alongside his wife, Kathy. Kathy is a graduate of Duquesne University, a Sunday School teacher, and the Music Director at Brown AME Chapel.
Their joint business and humanitarian work efforts demonstrate a solid commitment to making a positive impact. Russell is a dedicated servant of God, ordained as a Deacon at Brown Chapel and an associate pastor. His current roles include Sunday School Superintendent and leading prayer and Bible study. All reflect his unwavering commitment to spiritual growth, church commitment to spiritual growth, church commitment, and community engagement.

Elder Robert James’s commitment to his faith and community is truly inspiring. A 1989 graduate of Harty Bible School, he now serves as a Trustee and Treasurer there. His 25-year tenure as pastor at the Deliverance Center, the Original Church of God, reflects his extensive experience and unwavering dedication. The center was previously located in Pittsburgh’s Manchester area but is now in McKees Rocks. Elder James is the District Overseer for the Original Church of God churches in Northeast Ohio, Penn Hills, and McKees Rocks.
His thirty years of service in prison ministry and his ministry at the Light of Life Mission in Northside Pittsburgh demonstrate his commitment to outreach and ministry for those in need. May his dedication continue to bless and inspire others.

Mrs. Elma Foulks, President of Harty Bible School, has served more than twenty years as President and Administrator. Her leadership has been instrumental in supervising teachers and staff preparing the school for opening each year, ensuring each class has the appropriate curriculum, and arranging chapel schedules. She conducts trustee meetings and manages the schools with unwavering faith.
During the challenging times of COVID-19, she successfully transitioned the school to virtual learning, ensuring that education continued seamlessly. She has guided the school back to in-person classes, demonstrating her adaptability and commitment to the school’s mission.
A proud graduate of Harty Bible School, she began her journey as a teacher of the Exodus class and has continually given back to the school that shaped her life. We thank the Lord for her unwavering faith and leadership as she continues to guide Harty Bible School.
